EMDR Trauma Therapy
Trauma can leave lasting effects on how we think, feel, and relate to others. Even when the event is long past, the body and mind may hold onto the distress as if it is happening in the present. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy designed to help the brain reprocess difficult memories so they no longer feel as overwhelming.

At Everwell Counseling, I offer EMDR for adults who are ready to work through the impact of trauma, painful experiences, or negative beliefs that keep them feeling stuck. In a safe and structured process, we use bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements or tapping) to help the brain reprocess memories and reduce the emotional charge connected to them.

EMDR can help with:

-
Post-traumatic stress (PTSD)
-
Anxiety and panic
-
Grief and loss
-
Negative self-beliefs (e.g., “I’m not enough,” “I’m unsafe”)
-
Distressing memories or past experiences
-
Relationship patterns rooted in past wounds

My approach combines the evidence-based structure of EMDR with the supportive relationship of therapy. This means we go at your pace, ensuring you have the grounding skills and resources you need before processing painful memories. Together, we work toward reducing distress, reshaping beliefs, and helping you feel more empowered in your daily life.

Healing is possible. EMDR offers a path forward when talking alone isn’t enough, giving your mind and body the chance to release what has been holding you back.
